Pan-Asian Alliance at TCNJ

The TCNJ Pan-Asian Alliance is a network of student organizations that promote solidarity and cooperation among Asian-American students. The Pan-Asian Alliance is a safe space for all students to indulge and be educated about Asian culture. This network is comprised of The Japanese Student Association, the Indian Student Association, The Chinese Student Association, The Korean Student Association, The Asian American Association, DragonFlies, and Barkada.

  • Asian American Association (AAA)

    AAA is a multicultural organization that represents all of the vast cultures across Asia. We aim to spread knowledge of the many Asian cultures and practices as well as spread awareness for all of the current events going on in the Pan-Asian world. AAA strives to facilitate a welcoming and inclusive community for all peoples, not just of Asian descent. Our meetings are held Wednesdays at 4pm in BSC 222- all are welcome!

  • Chinese Student Association (CSA)

    The Chinese Student’s Association organization provides students with the opportunity to learn and socialize with others; and in the process, raise awareness of Chinese and Asian-American culture. It is our goal to increase diversity at The College of New Jersey through events and performances that display various aspects of Chinese culture. As both a social and cultural organization, we are dedicated to providing members with educational, cultural, and social opportunities to enhance their overall college experience.

  • Korean Student Association (KSA)

    TCNJ Korean Student Association is a student organization whose mission is to promote and foster Korean culture on campus. Through weekly meetings and semesterly events, KSA celebrates different Korean traditions, including food, music, holidays, and more. KSA aims to be a safe space for all, and meets on Wednesdays from 2-3 pm in SSB 128.

  • Japanese Student Association (JSA)

    TCNJ JSA strives to promote a better understanding of Japanese and Asian American culture among the student body. We aim to provide an open and safe atmosphere for students to interact and learn with others who share an interest in the culture. We meet every Wednesday from 1-2 pm in the Brower Student Center room 224. We are part of the Pan Asian Alliance (PAA) where we co-sponsor and host a wide variety of events from the Multicultural Buffet to Night Market to Mystique.

  • DragonFlies

    TCNJ DragonFlies is a dance group that combines traditional Chinese dances with modern influences to create unique and culturally enhancing performances.

    We host workshops where our choreographers get to show off dances you can learn/participate in, weekly practices, as well as dance group hangouts where we eat food, watch movies and play video games too! You do not need any prior dance experience to join our group--if you're interested in learning more about Chinese culture, trying a new skill like fan dancing, or even want to choreograph your own dance we'd love to have you join us!

  • Indian Student Association (ISA)

    TCNJ’s Indian Student Association aims to showcase the Indian culture and customs to our campus community. Whether that’s through ISA’s signature annual events such as Garba, Diwali Dinner, Jersey Jalwa, or Spill the Chai, we hope to create an environment where all students can fully immerse themselves in our celebrations!

  • KOHESION

    KOHESION Dance Company is a K-POP dance cover group made of students at TCNJ that celebrates unity in diversity through the members’ shared appreciation for Korean pop, also known as K-POP. KOHESION serves to foster a niche and tightly-knit family of dancers.

  • Taekwondo

    TCNJ Taekwondo seeks to promote and share Korean martial arts to better mental and physical health, heighten self-esteem, and know self-defense. Our main goal is to provide a better understanding of Korean and Asian American culture among the student body while also having an open and welcoming atmosphere for all students regardless of skill level or knowledge.

  • VSA

    The purpose of the Vietnamese Student Association is to promote valuable characteristics of Vietnamese culture. Through informative meetings, trips, food, crafts, and a multitude of other creative possibilities left to the discretion of the Executive Board, this purpose will be fulfilled by fostering an environment celebrating the plethora of and diverse aspects of Vietnamese culture, that will be open to support from members of all backgrounds.
