To celebrate 18 years of Barkada, we’re happy to announce that this year, we'll be bringing back the "gift of opportunity" by gifting the Barkada Award to one of our members, chosen by our very own TCNJ Barkada Alumni. Supporting this award is an amazing opportunity for alumni to give back to a club that has shaped their college experience and for current members to help Barkada grow as well.

We’d love for your help in commemorating this honor, especially since you’ve all played a big part in it. Maraming salamat (thank you very much) for your consideration, your support means the world to us!

• February 2026 - Application Form Released

• March 2026 - Application Form Close & Donations Close

• April 2026 - Alumni Selection Committee Review Applications

• Late April 2026 - Barkada Award Winner Announced at Pistahan

• The applicant must be currently enrolled as a student at TCNJ.

• The applicant must submit a resume.

• The applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA. This should be included in the resume.

• The applicant must currently be an active member of Barkada in AT LEAST ONE of the following ways:

  • Attended 1/2 of 2025-2026 general body meetings

  • Was Act Leader/Choreographer/Dancer of Tinikling and Maglalatik in 2025-2026

  • Volunteered at one 2025-2026 Barkada Event, including but not limited to Barangay, Terhune, etc.

• In 500 words maximum answer one of the following questions:

  • How has Barkada made an impact on your life?

  • How will you help contribute to Barkada’s growth in the future?

• The essay should follow the formatting guidelines:

  • 1-inch border

  • 12 size font, Times New Roman, Double-Spaced
