GBM #7: Magkasama con Algería!

At this GBM, we had our MEXSA/BKAD Mixer, and it was a really fun experience!

It was exciting to bond with another cultural organization, play games, and learn more about Mexican culture while also seeing the similarities between Filipino and Mexican traditions. The night started with Kwik Konnections, an icebreaker that helped everyone get to know each other and made it easier to interact throughout the event. As the mixer continued, people were able to enjoy food, talk with one another, and take part in activities that brought both organizations together. One of the most memorable parts of the night was playing Lotería using both Spanish and Tagalog words, which made the game feel more connected to both cultures. Each round got more exciting, especially when participants had to call out “gwapo/guapo!” if they won. It was a funny and memorable part of the game that made the experience even better.
