GBM #6: Sayaw & Sing!

Barkada turned up at our Sayaw & Sing GBM, a night that reminded us why music and our community go hand in hand. Before any games, we announced the Class of 2029’s Freshman Representative: Jacob! We split into teams of four and instantly the room was filled with friendly rivalry, laughter, and people low-key stretching like they were preparing for the Olympics. If you wanted that mic, you had to run for it. The night kicked off with Singing Bee hosted by Angelica, and things got chaotic (in the best way) when songs cut off mid-lyric and teammates sprinted to the center chair to finish the line. The playlist had range from Laufey and Sunkissed Lola to Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, Glee, Broadway soundtracks, and even the five most intense seconds of the Philippine National Anthem. Next came CJ’s Song Association, where all logic flew out the window the second the timer started. Miroh, Gabe, and Ariana were stars as they grabbed the mic the most times, becoming their team’s MVPs and crowd favorites of the night! Still, everyone gave it their all, and the room was full of people yelling song ideas, singing over each other, and jumping CJ for the mic. We wrapped up with Kart’s line dancing session, moving together to the Electric Slide, “September,” and “Todo Todo,” and it really brought everyone together to finish off the evening.
